The story is so well-written that I binged read it! This is really good for a demo. The characters felt so alive for me, especially MC's parents. They're so lovely! 💕

No, I think you're right. I'd been back and forth about that same thing. Even if your brightness is set to "full power of the sun" they just blend in too much with the background.
I more often use light modes, but as a dark mode user, do you think it's better to lighten the link or take the background down a notch to create enough contrast?

Just wanted to let you know I'm having an issue with the save functionality. Samsung S24 Chrome Browser.
I can't scroll when the pop up box shows up. I am unable to see anything past the 4th save slot, and I am unable to use Save to Device because of this.
Haven't had this issue b4, so I'm not sure what's up?
I'll look into this and do some research. Sorry it's causing you trouble! This was part of the template I used and I am wondering if I may have accidently altered some code that I shouldn't have.
I may have fixed it, if you'd be so kind as to give it a try and see if it works for you and then let me know if it is still broken, that would be appreciated. I tested on my own phone and had the same issue (only it showed 5 slots, but very zoomed in lol). The issue, I think, was with how the mobile stuff was set to appear through itch. It was on "default" and I have changed to to "portrait" instead. I imagine you may need to exit the story and then go back in, but I'm not positive.
Looks like it worked, though I am on the Samsung browser instead of Chrome. I'm afraid to lose my progress not being able to save to disk 😂. Just got to the tub scene on my birthday. Nice work so far 😉.

This is a wonderful start to what will be a fantastic IF. I had so much fun with my first play through! I can’t wait to be a snarky and witty (unlike RL) in my next. i will be following this to completion! What a great beginning even though you use my least favorite word many times 😘

Maybe it's just my problem, but links are hard to see when playing in dark mode.

I think just changing the link color to something more contrasting would work.
Here's example from Bastards of Camelot. Stands out just nice on similar'ish background
